We invest in impactful education and training programmes for women and quality early education for children. This two-fold approach lifts families out of poverty and builds stronger communities, sustainably.
Why South Africa? Why Now?
58% of children under 5 are not achieving their developmental milestones.
Too many South Africa children are growing up without access to quality early learning, and those in low-income communities are being left behind. Without proper preschool, their future potential is severely limited, and inequality becomes a prison they will struggle to escape.
At the same time, these preschools are being run by passionate women who lack the resource, skills and support they need to address the education challenges while also providing meaningful and dignified jobs for themselves and their teachers.

Our Current Project: Grow ECD
Without Grow ECD, many children would miss out on receiving quality education within the critical early learning years, and women-led preschools would remain financially unsustainable.
With Grow ECD, things change for the better:
- Women running preschools are trained as social-entrepreneurs.
- Preschools receive quality educational resources, curriculum, training and mentorship.
- Centres become more professional, and financially secure.
- Children gain access to safe, stimulating, play-based education.
